Second Annual Summer Music Camp
Sponsored by the Bay Area Chorus, Bay Area Youth Singers and University Baptist Church
Join us for an activity filled morning with singing, playing Orff/percussion instruments, playing chimes, playing music games, and learning to read music notation. All children will participate in a choir rehearsal and 4 classes each morning. Activities are appropriate for both children with previous formal music training and those without previous training.
For Kids completing grades 2 through 7
When: July 14-18, 2008 with a final concert at 7:30pm July 18.
Cost: $75 until June 15, $90 after June 15
Where: University Baptist Church, 16106 Middlebrook Dr., Houston, TX 77059 (MAP)
The Choir Camp rehearsals and break out sessions will be conducted by a staff of experienced music educators, including many who are active participants in the Bay Area Chorus. The BAC is co-sponsoring this camp at University Baptist Church in fulfillment of its mission to provide the opportunity for singers in the community to participate in the preparation and performance of choral music of high quality.
